After many years of working in the family business, I never really got to explore my passion for baking. Baking was an after-hours delight, where I baked for everyone- whenever there was a party, I would be baking, making all the cakes and desserts. After many years of making cakes for everyone, I got a reputation amongst family and friends as “Penny Cakes” (hence where I got my name from).
